HOUSE OF THE ORANGE SUNBIRD
Sunlight shines onto morning
dew, and the blade of grass the dew hangs upon, bends almost touching a small
puddle underneath itself. The sunlight
has a message even for such a tiny droplet of water. As the dew droplet falls
on the puddle below, the Sun continues to send out its rays.
These rays are energies,
each with the power to bring life. And
these same energies when radiated to an extreme extent can end life as well. Somewhere
in the forest, a berry, red in color, dangles from its stem and onto the rays of
the Sun. That berry begins to ripen ever so carefully until it too will
eventually fall downwards onto the forest ground below similar to the morning
dew dripping from a leaf or blade of grass.
On a
branch of a pine tree, near a babbling brook, there is a bright orange bird
that is perched and appears contemplative.
This bird is called the Sunbird.
It begins to sing with a sweet melody, and then stretches out its
marvelous winged plumage taking flight.
The
spirit of the Sun dwells in the Sunbird.
And its majestic flight symbolizes the Sun’s movements through the
sky. This bright orange bird quickly
descends onto a red berry filled tree, and eats the sweet fruit with a darting
and accurate motion.
A young
man, with tattoos covering his body, eventually notices some very bright orange
feathers of a considerable size lying by the roots of a red berry tree. He takes the orange feathers to his village
and shows the Medicine Man what he has found.
The Medicine Man says, “What a great find, do you know what I can do
with these feathers, for they are the feathers of the Sunbird!” The Medicine Man continues, “I will show you
how to fly as the Sunbird does, young man.” He walks towards one of the rooms
in his home motioning the young man to follow.
As the young man enters the spacious room, he sees a fantastic mural on the wall that is a
graphic representation of the solar system, nearby stars and worlds with what
appears to be various doorways drawn besides them.
“Then if
I can fly, I want to fly into the Sun without being burned!” The young man replies. The Medicine Man then
takes one of the bright orange feathers, pulls out a blank sheet of yellowish
paper and dips the quill of the feather into a red ink, as in the manner of
using a feather pen thus he begins to write a magical spell.
The
spell is called Valleys of The Sun World, and it is used to create vivid
visionary journeys. The Medicine Man
then rolls up the paper and lights the edges on fire. The two Men instantly transform into Sunbirds
and are now flying together far above the Earthly lands and into the deep Cosmos. With much excitement, the two Sunbirds that
were once men start to radiate an intense orange and golden light from within
themselves as they mysteriously fly into the Sun without being burned!
With
wonderment, the young man now a Sunbird alongside his Medicine Man elder
skilled in the mystic art of shape shifting fly and experience life within the
Sun. There they find deep valleys filled
with gigantic trees similar to pine and cedar. Yet these trees have an intensity to them that
reminds one of shards of lightning and the feeling of gazing upon a rainbow.
The lands within the Sun vibrate to a sweet song that resonates from the plants
themselves. And the sky has a bright
fiery energy very different to the one on Earth. Colors such as Magenta, Yellow, and Violet
blend to create a beautiful and breathtaking feeling that remains
consistent.
“I never knew there were
lands in the Sun!” The young man says to
the Medicine Man with great excitement.
“Yes, the lands of the Sun
are many...and this is only the beginning.
Since you have journeyed well with me to this marvelous place, I believe
it is your destiny to become a real Mystic Man.
The way can be dangerous but I will show you the best way…the path that
is the secret path.”
“Please, consider me on this
day your apprentice.”
“Sure, now let us be filled
with the True Spirit of The Sunbird and soar to the valleys before us!”
